Salaries offered to Hospital Doctors, Consultant Doctors, Surgeons and General Practitioners (GP) for Permanent Doctor Jobs can vary greatly and are dependent on many things such as Hospital/Clinic Location, Doctor Grade and Doctor Specialty.

Types of Doctors
MedicsPro work can assist all types of Doctors in finding new Doctor Jobs. Typically Doctors can be split into two main categories:

Hospital Doctors can work towards becoming a Consultant Doctor, and below shows the various training grades that lead to a Consultant Doctor Job:

Not all Hospital Doctors become a Consultant Doctor, below shows the various training grades for doctors who are NOT in training posts that lead to a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training.
Associate Specialist and Speciality Doctors with very long experience within a speciality and other qualifications may apply to have their names entered on the GMC's Specialist Register.

Middle Grade Doctors
“Middle Grade” is not an "Official” grade but it is a term often used in hospitals for Staff Grades, Specialty Doctors and SpR.

Resident Medical Officer (RMO)
RMO's look after the in-patients in private hospitals. They are often resident at the hospital and then take a period of time off work. This can also be done on a one week on one week off basis. Being an RMO requires full registration (often taken one year after medical studies are finished).

International Doctor Recruitment and UK Registration for Doctors
To work in work in the UK, Doctors need to be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) - www.gmc-uk.org. Without this registration; you will not be able to work in the UK as a Doctor.
