- Exciting Opportunity for Band 6 Community OT - Paediatric Equipment/Wheelchair Specialist
MedicsPro Recruitment are currently looking for a Band 6 OT to work within a private sector SEN school, as part of their therapies team.
Successful candidate will be working with a school aged population in a school, supporting a mainstream and SEN caseload. The children will present with various physical and developmental conditions. Car driver not required.
The role is full-time, approx. 33 hours per week. Locum contract for the academic term
Essential
* 2-4 years post graduate experience
* Previous NHS or Private Sector Experience
* HCPC Registration
* Enhanced DBS (clear)
Qualifications
* Relevant degree in Occupational Therapy
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting therapies within a school-based environment, supporting a mainstream/SEN schools
* Providing safe and relevant therapies to children in line with EHCPs
* Prescribing wheelchairs and signing off manual handling assessments / plans
* Working as part of an MDT, with other therapists, SENCOs and teachers to delivery safe and appropriate therapies to children
* Working with other services and other agencies, as needed
